If you’re researching “how to start a commercial cleaning business,” the first recommendation you will see across the board is to understand a franchisor’s investment model fully before making a decision. What does your money get you? Does your investment put you in the best position possible?
Whether you are an experienced investor or just dipping your toes into the franchise world, receiving the right information about your investment is important. Here are a few bits of information that will help you understand what you need to know about our initial investment.
Franchising is a Commitment
Buying a franchise is like purchasing a car. When you find a car you could see yourself driving in, you’ll want to make sure it is safe, a fit for your environment, and that the investment makes sense. Like a car, no matter the brand you choose, franchising is a significant financial commitment. The potential for return makes it all worthwhile, however, you should always do your homework. Listen to the stories of past franchisees, read the franchise disclosure document (FDD) – take the time to find the details.
What You Should Expect:
Franchise Fee: If you’ve read up on the franchise experience, then you have probably seen the term “franchise fee” used quite often. The price you will pay does depend on the brand you choose, but usually, what you receive is the same. The franchise fee includes access to our established brand name and high-level training. You should expect to pay between $59,9000-$119,700 on the franchise fee, which will also depend on your unique situation.
Travel Expenses: Part of the training that you will undergo includes in-person, face-to-face time with our team. This training will take place over the course of a week, so we have incorporated the cost of your travel and food into your initial investment. Typically, we estimate this portion of your cost will be anywhere between $150-$3,000.
Equipment and Supplies: Not all Image One franchisees come from a janitorial business background, so we understand if the products and equipment are all new to you. The quality of our service has helped us stand out, so your equipment plays an essential role in meeting our brand’s reputation. We can point you in the right direction. You can expect to pay anywhere between $3,500-$10,000 on equipment, products, and solutions.
Royalties: Like every franchise brand, Image One franchisees pay a regular royalty that comes out of a location’s gross monthly revenue — paid directly to Image One. Our franchisees contribute 10% to Image One, and a further 5%-10% is dedicated for the purposes of administration, marketing, and the optional assurance program.
Reviewing the FDD
Like the process of purchasing a new car, you’ll want full transparency regarding cost before you drive off the lot. There’s plenty more to learn about our investment, such as the timeline of payments, and the financial performance of franchisees like you. To learn more about costs and the Image One experience, Image One supplies all franchisees with a copy of our FDD before signing the franchise agreement. Not only will you learn more about how to start a commercial cleaning business, but you’ll also discover more about our team. Your investment is only a small part of the opportunity. To best represent a brand, trust is vital. Once an inquiry is made, our FDD is presented to potential franchisees, so they have the information they need to make the best decision possible.
