Q&A with Image One Southwest Florida Franchisee Nikko Conn

For months now, many of us have been quarantined at home, and it’s understandable that there might be some hesitation in returning to life as we knew it. However, Image One is working hard to give business owners the confidence to open safely and restore normalcy. We sat down with Nikko Conn to discuss his commercial disinfection services in Southwest, FL, and how his team is working hard to give their clients the peace of mind they need.

Nikko and his cleaning team have been visiting clients and providing them with electrostatic disinfection spraying services that eliminate 99.999% of viruses for nearly a month at a time. Here are a few questions Nikko answered about this service and how they have been a game-changer for his clients and their patrons.

Could you describe the process? How often is your team in a facility?

The process is very quick and painless. We have been acquiring business inside and outside of our current clientele. Some are by referrals and others are by Google searches. We are using two chemicals: one is called My-Shield and the other is called Durisan. Both chemicals are made to be extremely diluted inside of the electrostatic sprayers. 

We have both a handheld sprayer and a backpack sprayer that is made for larger facilities. The chemicals are good for about 28 days at killing 99.999% of viruses. Sometimes, clients want an initial one-time spray because they had an individual who tested positive for COVID-19. Other clients are continuing the spray while numbers are increasing around our town. Restaurants are using table toppers that advertise buy-one-get-one beverages and putting an Image One disinfecting card on the other side of each one. I hope for the future people keep utilizing this service so it makes their customers feel safer.

How do you think a sign changes the mentality of someone sitting at these tables?

Something as small as seeing the sign on the table or on the door when you arrive at the location stating that it has been properly disinfected gives a sense of ease. The individual who is trying to enjoy themselves in that environment should not have to worry about going out and getting sick in that establishment.

What has the feedback been like from business owners and their customers?

The feedback on this spray is fantastic! We’ve gotten multiple Google reviews explaining how it brings a clean atmosphere vibe within that environment. Everyone is much happier knowing they don’t have to run out and buy more chemicals and stand in long and hectic lines in the supermarkets. Many of the clients of the businesses we’ve sprayed have commented on how they like how clean it is in their space as well.

What kind of equipment does your team use on-site?

Some pieces of equipment we use on-site are the sprayers themselves, gloves, N-95 masks, goggles, and proper attire.

Have restaurants been the only industry you've done this service for?

So far we’ve completed sprays in salons, restaurants, healthcare facilities, gyms, car dealerships, churches, hotels, and office suites in our local area.

Do you think these daily commercial disinfection services in Southwest, FL are here to stay, or do you think they’re temporary?

I believe that people are utilizing this spray because of the constant increase of positive cases in our area. In a sense of all of this going away, I do believe that some customers will continue to spray or disinfect themselves. For environments such as churches, schools, health care facilities, and movie theaters, I think it’s essential for this spray to be completed each month going forward. The more precautions we take, the less likely we are to contract more viruses and we can stop the spread.
